  • With the 12-bay 3.5-inch chassis and an 8-port controller, the four AnyBay positions are NVMe-only in the documented layout; do not assume every bay accepts this SAS/SATA option.
  • Adding rear 3.5-inch drive bays changes riser availability and needs the matching controller connection. Check the installed rear-bay kit before adding drives.
  • The guide marks this exact option as not supporting SED. Qualify a different option if encryption is required.
