NETGEAR RN31664E-100NAS is an ordering option for the RN316 ReadyNAS platform with 6 drive bays. The platform has 2GB of factory memory. 1GbE connections: 2. Use the complete order code when matching a replacement unit or requesting an installed-drive configuration. Drive-bay count is not installed capacity.
Confirm the disk configuration
The specifications describe the RN316 base platform. The supplied drive count, drive model, raw capacity, usable RAID capacity and disk health must be stated in the quotation for RN31664E-100NAS. These cannot be determined from the order-code suffix. Request qualified drives and trays for this chassis; a matching connector alone does not confirm compatibility.
Factory hardware
ReadyNAS is a NAS appliance with a defined processor and memory platform. It is not offered here as a general-purpose CPU and DIMM configurator. For an existing unit, confirm its exact hardware revision, installed memory, firmware, power supply and drive configuration before purchase.
Local file access and retired cloud services
ReadyCLOUD support for ReadyNAS ended on July 1, 2023. ReadyNAS file access on the local network remains available, but ReadyCLOUD remote access and its cloud backup and synchronization features are no longer available. Confirm a suitable supported remote-access arrangement and security policy before planning continued use.
