SUPPORT & REPLACEMENT
Check support dates, replacement options and whether continued use still makes sense.
We do not have confirmed sales and support dates for this part number.

Ask us to check the current sales and support statusProducts with similar names or connectors may still be incompatible. Compare the full specifications, installed system and software requirements.
Compare related products These products may be related, but we have not confirmed them as replacements.USING HARDWARE RESPONSIBLY
Consider repairability, remaining support and actual operating demand. Extending service life is useful only when the equipment still meets your security and reliability requirements.
Use measured average input power for the same workload. PSU ratings and processor TDP are different from total system power.
Energy difference = (current W − proposed W) × hours × units ÷ 1,000. Excludes cooling, embodied emissions and purchase costs.CONNECTION DETAILS
The storage system uses its factory-supplied controllers. The ordered host interface determines whether the system connects through Ethernet, Fibre Channel or direct SAS.
Browse the categories above for related equipment, then send us the full configuration so we can check the fit.
PRODUCT DETAILS
Resilient data path
A purpose-built file appliance combines server, storage and file-service software. Network Configuration, directory integration, shares and storage protection are commissioned as one system.
The model and operating-system edition determine clustering and service-continuity options. Redundant power or RAID alone does not create a highly available file service.
Platform and software
Alletra and MSA are separated by GreenLake or local management, controller generation, support term and software entitlement; Nimble, StoreOnce and StoreEasy are not mixed into an Alletra BOM.
Alletra quotations specify the controller pair or disaggregated MP role, shelf type, media pack, NVMe or SAS architecture and supported expansion paths.
Snapshots, Peer Persistence, replication, StoreOnce Catalyst or StoreEasy file services are named as separate entitlements and acceptance tests.
System Architecture
Physical configuration
Internal bays and any attached enclosure are populated only with approved media and controllers; boot and data media remain separate BOM lines.
Availability, speed, port count, optics and adapter type must be confirmed for the exact controller and software release.
The final BOM includes only manufacturer-qualified media for the model, enclosure and software release.
Capacity Planning
Sum of installed media before parity, sparing, metadata, formatting and system reserves.
Capacity available after the selected protection layout and mandatory system overhead.
A workload-dependent planning value that may include compression, deduplication or thin provisioning.
Raw disk capacity is reduced by RAID, spares, formatting and filesystem reserves. File quotas, snapshots and growth headroom are planned on usable capacity.
Software platform
Windows Server IoT for Storage edition and HPE StoreEasy management components by model
Operating-system, client-access implications, management and support lifecycle are checked before quote
Volume snapshots, backup integration and replication depend on the exact Windows and cluster design
Directory integration, SMB security, patching, endpoint protection and encryption ownership are defined
Quotation Structure
Controller count, node role, mirrored cache or NVRAM behavior, management plane and failover mode are confirmed before pricing.
Filesystem cache, directory integration and metadata resilience are validated with the exact OS and clustering mode.Base enclosure, shelves, drive packs, rails, power, shelf I/O modules and cables stay visible as separate order lines.
Internal bays and any attached enclosure are populated only with approved media and controllers; boot and data media remain separate BOM lines.FC, iSCSI, NVMe-oF, NFS, SMB or S3 access is validated with host software, optics, adapters and the exact storage release.
SMB file services, NFS where configured, Management EthernetSnapshots, replication, encryption, ransomware protection, capacity metrics, software term and service SLA are priced as named entitlements.
Operating-system, client-access implications, management and support lifecycle are checked before quoteThe quotation lists raw, usable and effective capacity separately and allows for growth, spare capacity and rebuild overhead.
